Meningitis and septicaemia; the swelling of lining around the brain and spinal cord and blood poisoning caused by the same germs. They can kill in hours.

The Meningitis Research Foundation is a national charity that funds research into meningitis and septicaemia, how they can be prevented and treated while also supporting victims of the dehabilitating disease. The Foundation promotes education and awareness to reduce the likelihood of death and disability through the quick recognition of symptoms.

Tetris Safari chose to support the Meningitis Research Foundation after a friend of the organisers contracted the disease and lost their limbs. We have had a really great response from people who have been affected by meningitis and septicaemia, and they are keen to be involved in, and associated with, the festival. Its a chance to raise awareness and make some funds to support their great work.
